Job Description
Manages system upgrades in collaboration and partnership with IT staff resources. Ensures quality preparations for upgrades and testing are completed with proper documentation, data is validated and communications to users is timely, clear and concise. Identifies opportunities for further improvements and the leveraging of systems.
2. Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to conduct interviews and product analysis to gather and define HR/IS user requirements and systems goals, and identify business systems issues. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
3. Manages all HR system related projects. Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors ensuring project goals, objectives and timelines are met or modified as needed to successful outcomes.
4. Coordinate, prepare and execute communications and training efforts related to HR/Finance Workday system and related process changes, including coordinator of leadership forums, employee newsletters or alerts, informational sites and manuals, training curriculum and other related issues.
5. Collaborate across Workday support team and HR/Finance functions to develop and execute communication plans, sponsorship maps, training plans and resistance management plans.
6. Manages HRIS staff to include, but not limited to, hiring, developing, evaluating performance, and corrective actions.
7. Consults with HR Department leaders, providing guidance, support and problem solving in use of dedicated systems in achievement of desired outcomes (SilkRoad, BenefitSolver, etc).
8. Research data, conducts in-depth analysis, identify trends and creates business and operational models and reports. Focus on systems and data management process improvements and make recommendations on methods/processes that will improve data quality.
9. Create and maintain reports for Human Resources users for all aspects of the business utilizing statistical facts and figures. Generate reports for a variety of internal and outside sources (e.g. EEO, AAP, Veterans Administration), assuring that deadlines are met and that data is accurate.
10. Develop and maintain expertise in use of automated reporting tools.
11. Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems. Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written
documentation – to management, peers, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
12. Coordinate with HR leadership to assess departmental application training needs and objectives. Document business processes and associated training materials to provide to end users. Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen
13. Provides oversight to system testing to ensure successful business processes after system updates occur. Develops, reviews, and /or maintain test scripts that can be used to identify program flaws, complement the test strategy/plan, and improve the overall quality of the organization’s products and services.
14. Manages relationships with vendors to ensure timely vendor response to questions and support issue. Engages with vendor representatives to remain current with new system functionality and expected future state.
15. Manages relationships with IT resources to ensure full partnership in managing system functionality.
