There is nothing more elegant than afternoon tea, and Disney World is an excellent place to enjoy this luxurious experience, especially during the holidays.
Aromatic teas, delicious bites, and fantastic service are offered in a charming, nostalgic ambiance, and we could not wait to try it out.
The Cake Bake Shop has a new Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea experience, and here is everything you need to know.
Make Your Reservations
Space is limited, so reservations are a must. You can either call (407) 574-3040 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM Eastern Time or email concierge@thecakebakeshop.com. I emailed, and someone got back to me right away.
I was also able to confirm a gluten-free experience quickly via email.
The cost of the tea is $95 + tax + a prepaid gratuity, and you must pay ahead of time to reserve your spot.
Cake Bake also offers plenty of great ways to customize your tea experience. Guests can elevate their tea with a premium signature cocktail or a glass of The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant’s Rosé Bubbles.
There are also children’s options, vegetarian offerings, and gluten-free accommodations.
The Experience
From the second you step into the Cake Bake Shop, you can feel something different and special in the air. Everyone smiles and warmly greets you, ensuring you feel welcome and have a wonderful time.
The restaurant is adorned with beautiful silver, white, and pink decorations for the holidays, creating a luxurious but perfectly warm and inviting vibe.
Our server told us that the decorations and theme change for the holiday each year.
We were led to the private tea room, which only had a few tables, and were assigned a designated server and tea aficionado.
Our server was gracious and accommodating from the start and highly knowledgeable about the tea and menu offerings.
The table is set and ready with honey, citrus slices, and personalized menus welcoming you to the experience. Such a nice touch!
The experience starts with the server bringing you a tray of six teas crafted in collaboration with Dammann Freres.
Our server explained each tea, shared its tasting and flavor notes, and allowed us to smell each one before selecting. During your experience, you can try as many as you like.
Delicious Offerings
After our tea arrived, we indulged in delicious Orange Cranberry Scones (mine was gluten-free). These were perfectly soft and sweet, with a combination of subtle orange zest and a bit of tartness.
The treat was so moist and had the perfect balance of flavors. The scones come with a side of clotted cream, salted butter, and the house-made pixie jelly.
The pacing of this was perfect. We took our time and enjoyed our tea and scone without being rushed. After some time, our tea trays were brought out.

I ordered a gluten-free tea tray ahead of time and was pleasantly surprised with the amount of offerings I enjoyed and how delicious everything was. The tea sandwiches included egg salad, chicken salad, salmon salad, and herb goat cheese with cucumber on gluten-free bread.
The bites were light and flavorful, with the salmon tea sandwich being my favorite!
The top tier had amazing desserts, including two French macaroons, a dark and white chocolate truffle, a gluten-free brownie, a mint chocolate tea cake, and fresh berries.
The mint chocolate tea cake tasted just like a Girl Scout thin mint, and the texture was soft and moist. I couldn’t believe it was gluten-free!
The classic tea tray included the same tea sandwiches but had some different sweets.
In addition to the macaroons and truffles, there was also a delicious tart lemon bar, a Raspberry jam crumble bar, and a Magic Bar, complete with chocolate pieces and walnuts.
Everything we tasted was fresh, rich in flavor, and delicious. I wish I could tell you that I ate everything, but I could not finish it all. The good news? Our server swept in immediately and boxed the leftover treats for us to enjoy at home.
Highly Recommend
I have been to numerous tea experiences across the US and Europe, and this was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
The tea was great, and the food was delicious, but the service and atmosphere really make this a must-do when visiting Disney World.
This is one of the best experiences I have had at Walt Disney World, and this team created a wonderful experience for us.
This may be a new holiday tradition for my family and one that I highly recommend you check out.
